Hiya iv got a £75 toys r us voucher that I won in a bounty competition :D I plan to spend it today on total essentials for baby & bedding.

The problem is I'm not sure what is essential for a newborn and have no clue what they need bedding wise.
Please help.

Thanks Hayley xxx

Cotton cellular blankets

Cot sheets

Carrycot sheets

Blankets that will work well for swaddling - smallish is really all that matters (not everyone swaddles, and not all babies like it, but midwives taught me with DD1 and it worked well for both my girls. You can use the blankets for other things if you don't swaddle.)

A few newborn size babygros

Best thing I ever got told was to get my DS1 a "blankie" for his bed (moses/cot etc) and so I got him the mothercare blue grab blankie and he LOVES it! x As for stuff from Toys r us, maybe you could save it for the other stuff they have there if don't spend it all (you wont on bedding!)
