why don't you have a feel?

You'll have the added advantage over the midwife of being able to feel where the kicks and punches are too Smile

I'm 36+3 and I can tell is she's head down and always all on my right side! Makes me laugh how she's been upside down for so long I don't blame some of them for going breech!

willowshimmer · 18/03/2012 10:57

I had a consultants appointment the other day where he and a student tried to tell me the baby was breech which I argued. I know my baby is head down because she gets hiccups and I can feel them VERY low down. He used a mobile scanner to check and I was right !!!!!!
(am 35 +2)

I'm 32 weeks and MW just had a prod and said head down, lying on the right hand side. She showed me his back all up the right side, his bottom at the top and legs dangling over the top to the left.

When I prod it all feels the same!!

littlemissnormal · 18/03/2012 15:08

I'm 32 weeks with DC3 and I've never been able to tell how the baby's lying!

All I do know is that I get simultaneous kicks under my right rib and left hip at the same time which concerns me about the size of him!

Dozeyland · 18/03/2012 19:55

The kicks and punches are at the top, under my belly button and to each side. :)

Yes that is where my kicks are too dozey. baby has his head down and feet up at the top.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 19/03/2012 10:37

This LO have taken to laying in the breech position a lot recently. Bum out one side and head the other. Makes for a very odd shaped bump. He needs to start turning though 6 weeks and he is due. xx

I know exactly where he is as I had a presentation scan! Grin
Back is on right side, limbs on left, head down (and engaged) and facing back :)

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 19/03/2012 15:00

I'm 37+4 btw

Hi, I'm 34 +5 today and my baby is head down.
I asked once how the "know" and they work from the hard bit - which is above my navel - and roll/ rub to the left and right, which is the back of the baby or the legs are and come down to the pelvis, where the head is. The rest is I think experience as although one might know where the back is, there is 2 ends which could be either or.
If your baby is head up, you only feel kicks in the lower area.
