Hi, am 30weeks pregnant, have been keeping ok, first baby, work in a physical job.
For the past couple of weeks I have been feeling slightly short of breath and aware of my heartbeat.
It feels like it is racing. Iv checked it a couple of times - it seems to hit about 90 which is high for me. My bp has been low, lowest reading about 90/60.
I thought it was related to caffeine so Iv cut that out. No dizziness.
I should phone the midwife Monday, but any ideas? Is this just late pregnancy?

You could be anaemic. Have you had your Hb done recently?

Are you drinking enough?

Maybe your job is getting a bit too much?

I think it is a good idea to see the midwife and have a checkup.

Had my Hb checked 9 days ago, no result yet. I saw midwife, but stupidly didn't mention it as I thought it was due to my diet coke habit which I have now stopped.
I could probably drink more water, but weirdly eating/ drinking seem to make it worse even just squash.
Will phone Monday.

I have to say i've been the same, i'm 5 months pregnant (forget how many weeks, its in my diary haha) and i've had the same, low blood pressure (which my midwife isn't concerned about) i hear my heart rate in my ears and i feel out of breath, i've put it down to just pregnancy symptoms and the extra blood my body is producing and pumping about but yes definitely get some professional advice just to put your mind at rest.
