Bleeding at 24 weeks

anyone had bleeding later on? Was all ok?
I am 24 weeks and started bleeding on Thursday night, filled 2 pads. Rang delivery suite and they told me to call an ambulance!
Had a scan and all looked ok. They did a speculum exam and my cervix was long and closed. I was admitted overnight and then came home yesterday tea time. The bleed has stopped and now just have brown leftovers but quite a lot. Baby is moving lots and I heard the heartbeat 4 times on the Doppler in hospital and all was fine.
I bled at 6 and 10 weeks but first tri bleeding is so common, second tri much less so. Anyone have similar experiences- was all ok?
I've decided to rest for a few days and go back to work on Thursday all being well. Does this sound sensible? I have quite a full on job and want to be sure the bleeding has settled.

hi black treacle. i have had lots of pink and brown from around 22 weeks. did go to hosi and they checked and like you all seemed closed and okay. it is horridly worrying and i know i didn't have red blood so not quite the same, but from what i have read from other mnetters many of them have and have lovely babies sleeping in the next room!

Yes I would rest for a few days and see how you feel, take more time if you think you need it, if you can?

How worrying for you. I had bleeds at 7weeks, 32 and 39 weeks. I was admitted at 32&39 overnight and monitored carefully but all was fine & our dc arrived naturally on his due date. Just rest & look after yourself. At 32 weeks I took rest of week off and returned following week. I also started mat leave a week early. Hope all works out ok for you.
