I feel horrendous!

18 weeks PG with baby number 3.

Other two are 15 months and 5.... I feel horrific. I ache all over, this can't possible be SPD this early can it?

I've been off work for last week due to kids being ill etc,

I seriously am starting to think my body isn't cut out for this. It hurts to sleep - walk - sit - carry DD, stand in the play ground. God I'm a whiney cow.

Is this normal? Will it get better before delivery or is this it?

28 weeks pg with dc3 here. Has been the most exhausting pregnancy so far and am on mat leave from my pt job already as I just couldn't cope.

Sometimes I sleep well and am hardly doing anything but just feel so drained, urgh.

Definitely no more for me! Guess we'll just have to count down the days..

Yes it can be spd - get thee to an osteopath. It does tend to start earlier with each subsequent pregnancy.

Also get your iron levels checked out too, or just glug the floradix/spatone just in case Smile

I do a "active" job part time. I'm struggling at work. I can't do what I'm asked - it hurts like hell and I'm fed up tbh

Sitting on the sofa right now and my sciatica is playing up Sad

Oh no not SPD SadSadSadSad

OnlyWants I am suffering with sciatica tooSad Not had Spd though, you have my sympathies.

My job was 'active' too, residential home putting elderly people to bed, lifting etc. just remember your health is the most important thing if you're not coping. I do feel a bit better since I took my remaining holidays and went on early may leave.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/03/2012 22:02

I don't think I could go on mat leave so early Sad

Go see your doc and get your iron levels checked and I'd recommend a chiropractor - I had SPd with all of my three pregnancies, much worse with the third. I didn't go until after baby was born, SPd didn't go away post delivery but the chiropractor worked wonders, really wish I'd gone during the pregnancy.

It is exhausting the third time round - must be especially for you with your last baby so little still. If you have anyone who can help with housework/childcare get them on board ASAP - don't be too proud to ask for help!

DairyNips · 15/03/2012 22:06

In that case have you had a risk assessment at work? If so maybe it needs to reviewed if you feel you're struggling. Maybe info from a physio about your spd and sciatica would help back that up too so you could do lighter duties?

I haven't told work yet Blush

Im off sick with a stomach bug which I actually think is exhaustion. When I get up at 5am to go to work I've been vomiting and as I work with food ( ish ) I called in sick - which will mean I have to now have a meeting with my manager about my sickness Sad

Feel like im failing all round

I really think it'd be a good idea to tell them, it'll be a weight off your mind. I'm not sure if this is right but I'm pretty sure you can't get 'in trouble' for sickness if it's pregnancy related. Of course once you tell them you can have your risk assessment and things might become a little easier.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/03/2012 22:34

Do you think I should try and see my GP about my back and hips too ? I don't see my MW until 28 weeks which is 10 weeks from now Sad

How come you haven't told work yet? Do you think they won't be supportive? Btw aren't you showing yet!? Kudos if not, I was well into maternity wear by 18 weeks with my third!

DairyNips · 15/03/2012 22:37

Yes, either see gp or call midwife and see if they can refer you to physioSmile

deviladvocate · 15/03/2012 22:37

X-posts, defo see your doc before then, way too far off if you're feeling this rough already.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/03/2012 22:38

Grin it's sort of POPPED into a big bump in last two weeks

Haven't told them as was offered job week before found out PG and started the role at 10 weeks.

Have been quite secretive about whole PG not all the family know yet either BlushHmm
