17.5 weeks pregnant and still feeling rubbish :(

I am 17.5wk pg with my 3rd, and am still throwing up every morning. I then suffer nausea on and off for the rest of the day.

I have 2 DDs aged 2 and 4, and work full time (from home), and just generally feel shit. I had hyperemesis with both DDs, and have had the same again this time. I just thought it was easing off and I was getting back to normal, but the past few days have been terrible. Although I can eat and keep down water, I really, really struggle with doing so.

I want to sleep in the day but can't because a) I need to work and b) I sleep badly at night now, and don't want this to get any worse.

My friends tell me I look awful and, when I have had a couple of trips to the hospital with various issues, the doctor/midwife/somebody always comments on how I don't look very well. I know I am anaemic and am taking iron tablets, but not every day as I am so nauseous.

I have to pick up DDs from daycare soon and then make some dinner - the worst part of the day. I really hate being around food, and am eating because I have to. Mostly toast and bloody cheese sandwiches, nothing nice, or too spicy or different, cos I'll no doubt throw it up or get really nauseous afterwards. I have even watching DH eating his dinner, cos it makes me feel ill.

Feels like this will never end, and it's hard to find the strength to work and cope with this pregnancy.

Unfortunately quitting work is not an option, and would probably make the situation worse as I would have DD2 at home with me 7 days/week, and currently have 3 days break from her gorgeous but terrible twos :(

No family nearby to distract me either.

Just having a miserable time really :(

Are you taking anything for the sickness? I was prescribed stemetel when I was pregnant with DD. It didn't take it away but did make it much easier to cope.

You have my full sympathy as I remember just how rubbish I felt. It did get a lot easier at 18 weeks for me so fingers crossed for you! You should be over the worst bit now.
