Another 'Am I in labour thread'......

I'm 37 +4 with my second DC.

Last time I knew I was in labour because I'd had a sweep and was expecting it but I really don't know what to think at the moment.

Since midday I've had what I can only describe as dragging pains across my entire abdomen and lots of tightening. It's uncomfortable verging on painful but no pattern as yet. It's slightly relieved when I walk about or sit on my gym ball.

I haven't been feeling well for the past few days - bit nauseous and the runs, which last time was a signal I was ready for labour. I know her head is down as confirmed by my midwife last week so I don't think it's that which is causing the pain.

Arghhh, don't know what to think. Guess the next 24 hours will tell!

You'd better not be. It's my turn next Wink
Fwiw, I've been having those symptoms for 2 weeks now, and I'm 39+4. You could be in for the long haul still.

cupcakeandtea · 14/03/2012 17:55

I know...it's the 'how long is a piece of string' debate really. If I don't know if I'm in labour how on earth do I expect anyone else to know?

I expect it will all stop tonight and I'll still be waiting for another 3 weeks.

fuckity nooooo don't say that! Cupcakes has summed up the last couple of days for me (37w today) and I can't be arsed with this for another 5+ weeks (DD born at 40 +16, but had no BH, backache or anything with her)

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 14/03/2012 18:42

Fliss, I went 11 and 8 days over with the dc. No fair being overdue again. I've booked my ticket on the labour train and I'm next goddamn it.

morethemerrier · 14/03/2012 21:03

Fuckity, that would be a cracking thread title, ' All aboard the labour train!'

Destination - Birth

You can only board from 37 weeks onwards!

I've been the same for the past couple of days - now 40+5 with DC2 (which I think means it's my turn next Fuckity Wink).

Getting really fed up now and I just want this baby to arrive before my CS which is booked for Monday - really wanted a VBAC after DS was born at 40+16 by EMCS Sad I've been trying everything to get things moving, but nothing's worked yet Sad

Fingers crossed for us all! Smile

I'm crashing this thread!

Cupcakes I've been like you for a couple of weeks sorry Sad It could well be things starting but there is a lot of bugs around too which is what I've had.

Fuck I am most definitely next! 40+9 today! Had a sweep yesterday and then a bloody show and now.... Nothing. Being induced today due to medical problems during my pregnancy but as my consultant put it 'If I was to score your cervix, it would be a 0'. So it's crap!

Good luck to all you ladies SmileEnvy

Davinaaddict · 15/03/2012 06:46

Shock at your rude Consultant like! Smile

Good luck with your induction - I hope you get to meet your lovely baby soon! Smile

Iheartpasties · 15/03/2012 06:55

good luck lovely ladies.

likelucklove · 15/03/2012 08:42

Davina I don't think it was intentional, I've been seeing her weekly and during my many trips she was the first one to see me so we have a good laugh that this baby is too comfy/lazy etc. Thank you Smile
