Cold/flu/HEADACHE treatment?

I had the flu jab in November so doubt it can be flu, though it bloody feels like it. So I've got a terrible cold and the worst headache I've had in my entire life - started of as a really sharp, intense 'clawing' around my left eyebrow on Mon and yesterday (completely stopped me in my tracks when it came on, and then it would suddenly pass after about 2 mins), but now that's been joined by an all-over headache, and I feel like my head's going to explode. Not working not an option, so need something to help get me through.

Is paracetamol safe? What about Lemsip?

Not lemsip because it has pseudoephidrine, a decongestant in it. You can take paracetamol, thats about it! I use nasal irrigation to minimise nasal congestion (google neti pot), but it certainly might not be everyones cup of tea! I was desperate and I have had 4 colds over the course of this pregnancy!

Keep an eye on the headache though, it might be worth getting your blood pressure checked.

Hope you feel better very soon.

Paracetamol and you can inhale Olbas Oil in hot water to try to clear yourself out a bit. Ask your pharmacist to point you to what is safe in pregnancy.

Have you been having plenty of water (or herbal teas, hot blackcurrent or honey and lemon)? Second that if the headaches don't ease then you should see a dr/midwife.

Might be a sinus headache - I had a brutal one a few days ago. Steam inhalations are worth a try. I went to the pharmacy and they confirmed that I was stuck with paracetamol and nothing else :(
