19 weeks tomorrow, still in normal clothes and if anything they are a bit loser on me than when pre-pregnancy. Haven't really felt baby moving much either though there's been the odd jolt.. Don't have my next appointment until I'm nearly 21 weeks for my scan.

Should I have a chat with my midwife or is this alright. I'm sure I was showing by now on both previous pregnancies. I know they're all different though so trying not to panic.

Everything was alright at 16 week check - heart beat, measurements etc.

Hi

im not sure if its normal or not to be honest i think everyone's pregnancy s different so you cant and shouldn't judge yourself compared to anyone else, if you feel like something is wrong then id certainly ring the midwife and see what she recommends, that's what there there for after all to put you at ease and reassure you.

if it helps im 26 weeks on my 1st and only had to buy maternity pants at around the 21 week mark... even then i have a pin in them as they're a bit too big, but my old ones are too tight!

Hi faintpinkline

I was exactly the same in my first pregnancy. I really didn't look like I was pregnant at all for ages which was really annoying as I had to constantly stand on the tube as no-one could tell I was pregnant!

I remember going to an NHS birthing class and there was a petite woman there who was way behind me in terms of weeks but about twice the size. I am tallish but not super tall 5ft 8 inches and it just didn't show on me till right near the end - about 32 weeks and not big. It really did used to bother me a lot that I just didn't look pregnant. They did decide I was small for dates so I had quite a few extra growth scans but in the end she was 6lbs, which is smallish but completely normal. For my second pregnancy I was overjoyed when someone noticed at 18 weeks that I was pregnant. He was 7lbs and something. Now on my third and so much bigger this time.

I do know where you're coming from. You imagine you will be toting a big bump around and you're not, but it doesn't mean anything is wrong, and it's so much better in a way. I am still worried this time round I am not going to measure large enough. If they think you are too small they will send you for extra scans which are good in a way as you get to see the baby more.

Wishing all the best for your pregnancy :)
