yes, it has begun.... i am only 22 weeks and i feel like i am going to jet out a little bit of wee when i cough or heave (which is unfortunately still happening from time to time) Blush

i am also at that stage where wind seems completely uncontrollable - it just leaks unexpectedly and sometimes noisily, thankfully, rarely smellily. i can be doing something as gentle as walking down the corridor at work and fart with every step Blush

and why is it i feel more Blush about the wind than the developing incontinence??

Sneezing does it for me...22 weeks tomorrow...

and when I walk up and down the stairs, it's like i have my own little 'oompa' band following me...

as for the Blush...wee is hideable...audible trumps are not!

Mackrelmint · 12/03/2012 16:34

oh yes - v leaky here too; coughing, sneezing, walking too far... never had this in last pregnancy, so I'm guessing my pelvic floor is just more knackered this time round. Praying it improves a bit once the baby is out!

katiegolightly · 12/03/2012 18:01

Ditto sneezing, 34 weeks. Traumatised! The pelvic floor exercises have been dramatically stepped up.

Also stressful is how weak all those muscles feel during sex, much to my (and his) disappointment we stopped the other day mid flow as I was paranoid about losing bladder control at the critical moment.

Feel like an old lady, this is NOT cool!!

dribbleface · 12/03/2012 19:49

bless you lot. had this from 20 weeks with ds2 (think bad hayfever and bladder weakness) it didn't get any worse and has improved since ds2 was about 4 weeks. just keep up with pelvic floor exercises!

"and when I walk up and down the stairs, it's like i have my own little 'oompa' band following me..." Grin

i just laughed so hard at that a bit of wee came out Blush

katie, at least you're 34 weeks!! and as much as i pity the embarrassment of the rest of you i am SO glad it's not just me so early on!! 2nd time around for me too, and had figured my pelvic floor had remained pretty strong - ha! how wrong i obviously am!!

34 weeks here - I've suffered from a lot of wind - I can't bend down, or cough/sneeze without letting one go. I am convinced I am turning into an old man. It's very attractive.

comixminx · 17/03/2012 18:36

Ha ha! I've been having troubles recently because of having a really bad cold with absolutely hacking cough - leading to escapee wee - and am even earlier on in pg than you lot! I too had figured that my pelvic floor had come through the birth of DD pretty well but hey ho. At least when I'm not pregnant it behaves itself ok!

ellangirl · 17/03/2012 19:56

Holy crap, am doing my pelvic floor exercises like crazy here! Only 8+3 with my second but seriously worried as I too think I came through ds's birth with pelvic floor in tact. Did any of you have any issues after our first DC or just since you're pregnant again?

missingmymarbles · 17/03/2012 21:19

yes comix! maybe it's because i too have had a hacking cough

ellangirl no i had no problems after dc1 til a few weeks ago when 22ish weeks with dc2 Grin
