Night time back ache. Any tips?

I'm only 24 weeks and have horrible back ache during the night already. I think it coincides with the Braxton Hicks contractions I've been getting. The contraction or the back pain wakes me up, then I feel it more and can't get back to sleep. Anything that might help? Thanks.

More pillows? Helped my hip ache.

Thanks, I had painful hips last pregnancy and used a long pillow thing. Not sure how I'd position it to help with this. I can't seem to find a way to lie that improves it. It's kind of period painy, in my lower back.

I get this also, been using a hot water bottle on lower back-tho not too hot and don't put on front tummy. Also lie on side to take any pressure off back. Better still get your other half to give you a mini massage Grin

Ive had bad back ache too, still have it to an extent but I realised that the weight of my bump was pulling on my back - I got a wedge for my bump and a horseshoe pillow for me and have been a lot better since if you ignore the fact ive replaced back ache with cramp
