Pg with DC3 - not feeling/being sick....

Hi there,

Am pg with DC3 - I had awful sickness with both my other DC. Was physically sick the entire pregnancy with DS and for 6.5 months with DD.

Am only about 5 weeks gone so far (so I know it is early days) but I am not feeling anywhere near as bad and I am worried. I only feel ever so slightly nauseous and only on and off. I am sure both times previously, I was starting to feel really rough by now, so I am starting to wonder if something is wrong?? I know I am probably being a bit over-sensitive with it being so early....

Has anyone else had a pregnancy without feeling sick, after previously having sicky pregnancies?

With DC1 and 2 I was sick, tired, head achey, boob tingly and generally felt awful.
This time round I didn't find out I was pregnant until 22 weeks, and had been totally fine! (and am still good now apart from a few annoying things like restless legs and fat hands and feet!)

I'm pregnant with DC2, my first I was sick every night until about 28 weeks. I needed to vomit, but it didn't really affect me day to day as I didn't feel queasy. It just used to build up and I would just go and be sick in the loo.

Now, it's a different type of feeling sick, some days I feel fine, some days I feel ill all day. I've vomited about 4 times so far. I'm 12 weeks now and had my scan yesterday and everything seems fine.

I'm guessing they are all different. Plus with both of mine, sickness didn't kick in until 7/8 weeks. I felt fine at 5 weeks.

Hopefully it's just too early, my sickness only kicked in at 6/7 weeks. Also try not to compare too much, I'm finding this pregnancy different in lots of ways to previous ones.

I could have written your post myself! I'm also 5wks with my DC3 and have no symtoms at all, apart from the obv missed af. Was sick for most 1st trimester with DC2 and just a bit with DC1. Sore boobs from the get go with DC1&2.

It's hard not to worry so I've been doing a HPT every few days and still BFP. 1st appt with midwife this week so hope to get some reassurance then.

Good luck.

My ds1 and 2 I was sick every day for about 5 months, ds3 not sick at all - bit nauseas which wore off by 12 weeks and no actual puking. I think I just got lucky with him, hopefully it is the same for you, does not necessarily mean anything wrong so would try not too worry too much :) good luck

Thank you all for the reassurance! It's hard not to think the worst when I don't feel anything yet, after feeling SO bad with the others!

Will have to wait a while until the first scan, so fingers crossed.

Good luck to everyone else who is also pg right now!!

I was worried at first as had no symptoms with DC3 but at about 7 weeks MS kicked in and has been awful!
I never really suffered with DS1 or 2 at all so it's been an unpleasant shock!
12 week scan Wed and DH is expecting twins!

So, it may be early yet, or it may be a completely different pregnancy. FC you don't feel ill this time around.

My cousins wife never felt sick when she was pregnant with DC5 and she had MS with the other 4.
