Yes!! To the point that I didn't take my real labour seriously until a baby was pretty much coming out....

Yes, and they started a lot earlier as well. I had a few false labour scares from 34 weeks onwards as they could be so painful I thought they were the real thing. (Also we fed up of being pregnant and in the end was wishing they were the real thing DS2 was 9 days late).

Do you know, I didn't notice BH with with either. I also wasn't aware of a 'show' with either.

2nd labour was 3hrs or so quicker than first tho. 6hrs compared to 9.

Mine started earlier too! 30 weeks on Monday. I find them more powerful, not painful but very very solid tummy. my bump is rock hard anyway so when it goes into a BH its very tight! DD (16ms) was 5 days late. but when she made her appearance it was within 2ish hours

Never noticed either time. The after pains were much worse though.

Mine are quite strong and fairly frequent (maybe 10 a day) already at 24 weeks. They always make me need to wee. I did have a lot in the last pregnancy but can't remember them being this early.

Emsgale · 10/03/2012 23:40

my bh are much more realistic this time and somtimes are in a pattern and I think omg its coming then they stop!

also more period type aching this time. im 36+1 so hoping this means my body is doing so work before labour to help it be quicker this time?! last time was 24 hrs (18hrs established abour) so fingers crossed!

Yes, and they are doing my head in to be honest.

First baby born at 37 weeks. No BH or any other 'warning' or feeling of imminent labour. This time, tonnes of BH from before 30 weeks, and many more cramps, aches, mucus discharge for weeks. Yet I'm now 39 weeks. So it hasn't bought baby 'early'. However DC1 was 36 hour labour, and I'm hoping this will be much faster due to all the 'prep' !!

Yes and with the 3rd they started early and by 34 weeks were rather painful most evenings to the point I would spend hours on all 4's and in the bath just breathing through them. After a while they would stop.

Its been a long time since #3 and I still remember them vividly.....I am hoping they are not as bad with #4 Grin
