Churning sensation in uterus, 5 weeks pregnant

i'm 5 weeks pregnant and have an odd churning/draining/gurgling feeling in my abdomen- v low down and feels like it's in my uterus not my stomach.

I often get this feeling before I start my period.
Have had a miscarriage in the past and am terrified. Can't bear this waiting game!

Has anyone else had this?

I had lots and lots of weird feelings and pain in my abdomen during early pregnancy - including the most painful period pains, worse that any period I've ever had, I did feel like I was coming on a few times (and had two bleeds, sorry if TMI Blush), but 19wks today and all still sticking around :o

Sorry to hear you've had a mc before, I have no experience of that so don't know what it feels like. :(

Do you have any other symptoms?

I had a crazy watery mouth, weird dreams, a stupid sense of smell, was weeing for England, but also experienced some spotting at that stage.

It's such a worrying time, but I hope it all turns out ok for you. Brew

Thanks so much for your reply. I have tender boobs on and off, and seem ti be hungry a lot. I have had no spotting (apart from implantation bleed last weekend) and have had very mild cramps. I have a 2yo daughter and I know I had very few symptoms with her, so am not too worried that I don't feel sick or anything.

It's terribly nerve-wracking isn't it? Feels like ages before I can say I'm 'properly' pregnant!

Good to know that someone else had weird feelings in the womb area in early pregnancy...

I'm having cramps that feel a bit like period pains, and a little like upset tummy pains as well....it's all pretty normal, but worrying nonetheless x

Does anyone just think 'hooray I'm pregnant, see you in nine months, baby!', do you think? Or is my sense of almost inevitable doom normal?!

Shushbaby, it's really common don't worry :) I'm 5+2 and getting it and also pulling sensations

there's a thread on the antenatal club board for women due in nov12, come and join us and obsess over every little symptom Grin

OP - at around 5.5 weeks, maybe 6 - I had the oddest sensation in my uterus. Like it was doing somersaults or something.

It's done it a few times since, but none as intense. I can only put it down to some massive reaction on my uterus's part at the sudden presence of the sesame seed Grin

I'm about 6 weeks, keeping it really quiet, only my mum and my dh know! Had a mmc at 17 weeks last year..awful time.

I'm having exactly the same kind of pains, and worrying about EVERYTHING. I have an appointment next Thursday at hospital, early scan and bloods etc.

I'm worried sick. God knows how I will get through the next 9 months (well hopefully I will this time) ..convinced something bad is going to happen again :((

So yes, know how you feel! :)
