When was your induction booked?

I'm 38 weeks and a little paranoid that the midwife hasn't booked my 42 week induction? I don't remember when it was booked last time but I'm pretty sure it was before now?

My midwife was on holiday this week so saw a covering MW, forgot to ask her and now I don't have another appointment until I'm 40 weeks. What if the unit is busy? Will I end up having to be pregnant for ever? Grin

I hope you have s better experience than me I never got booked in I literally had to phone on morning of being +12 to be told to then phone in the afternoon and luckily they had a space for me, otherwise would have had to go in the next day. It was very frustrating!!!

Last time round I seem to remember there were stages - I was booked in for a sweep at about 40+5, then after that I was booked in for an induction at 40 +12 (DS1 arrived the following evening).

I promise you won't be pregnant forever, but I do sympathise - between my due date and the actual birth I had one text every day from someone I knew (mostly my antenatal group) to announce their new arrival and I got very bitter!

Yea I had to push for an induction date at my 41 week appt. They seemed to be overly confident in their sweeping abilities, I am still here and thankful that an induction has been booked for 42 weeks because nothing is shifting this little monkey at the mo.

I went in at 36 weeks to discuss my induction and had dd ten hours later, very rushed. I wouldn't have thought they would book your induction until you are quite overdue otherwise the would have loads of people booked in and no one turning up because they have all had their babies!

You still have plenty of time for your dc to be born before you start worrying about induction Smile

Was book in at 41 ish for an induction at 42.

I wasn't booked in until I was already 40+ weeks. Luckily my induction was booked for 41+5 and I gave birth at 41+3.

Btw george I had 4 'Good' [hmmm] sweeps and not a murmer. Induced at 42 weeks. By far my easiest and quickest labour! I was ready to pop I think.

Had to phone the hospital in the morning at 42 weeks to find out what time to go in.

Yuck 4 sweeps! musttidy I am deffo not going back for one after my second, I swear she had a hold of some of my vital organs whilst rooting around.

Good to hear something positive about induction.
