Hi! Am 35+5 & over the past few days I've been getting real stabbing acute pains in what I think is my cervix. It happens mostly when I stand up & eases off after a few seconds. Generally feeling pressure 'down there'd. Just baby moving down??? Was 10 days early last time......

I had this towards the end of my pregnancies with DC2 and DC3, it felt like I was being stabbed with a knitting needle. It only lasted briefly but would really stop me in my tracks when it happened. Was told by the midwife it was the baby's head moving down and engaging. I still went to 3 days past due date with DC2, DC3 was an elcs at 39 weeks so not sure how long she would have taken otherwise.

Are you sure it is your cervix? My physio (had spd) told me it was my pelvic floor screaming.

Ive had the same thing, am 26 weeks along and was told by my consultant its spd, I described it to him exactly as you did, as a stabbing pain in my cervix.
