I think that I might be pregnant - haven't had a period since having sex over NY - I'm ususally fairly regular and I am about 4 days late. I already have 2 DD's who are 23 months and 8 months (15 months apart) and I love them to bits and pieces, but I just don't want another one at the mo - 3 under 3 just ain't funny and DH and I are living with his parents and I didn't want another til we've got a place of our own - Bugger!! Please just send me love and reassurance!!

do a test, find out what's what and take it from there! bets of luck to you. I know a few people who had 3 under 3, who have all lived to tell the tale!

PennyLess · 30/01/2006 22:01

Whatever happens, it will be ok. You need to do a test tomorrow, otherwise your worry will just make you later and later (if that's the case), and while it's not what you'd planned, I'm sure there are plenty of MNers who will come on and tell you things didn't happen as they'd planned and how wonderful it all actually is...
It will be ok.

In fact, you know, my 3 pregnancies were all highly planned and happened just as I wanted but it still took me ages to accept the third. Thought I'd made a massive mistake.

But it's all ok.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/01/2006 22:04

Agree, do a test first and then you can start to decide what you are going to do. As MTS and PL have said, whatever happens, you will get through it

CaptainDippy · 30/01/2006 22:23

You think I should do one even though I'm only 4 days late????

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 22:24

absolutely! no point worrying if theres no need. i did mine the day i was due on and it worked.
go to the 24 hour supermarket now and get one.

mummytosteven · 30/01/2006 22:26

Yes, think it's worth you doing one now. Don't get lax about contraception unless/until you get a positive test - you don't want to end PG because you assumed you were already PG if you see what I mean.

CaptainDippy · 30/01/2006 22:26

I don't do sex!! It was a special treat!

Hello!
Just a word of reassurance, I got pg when ds2 when my other two were 2/12 and 7 months, it wasn't planned and a massive shock at the time.
He's 7 months now and I dont regret any of it. If you are pregnant, you WILL cope and find a way, and in the months to come, you will see it was a blessing. So try not to worry ( hard I know) and wishing you loads of luck!!
xx

OP posts:
tillykins · 31/01/2006 18:36

not weird at all! I was late this month and was in a blind panic, and when I came on, felt vaguely disappointed and relieved all at once

Glad you got the result you wanted though

expatinscotland · 31/01/2006 18:41

Captain
PLEASE get to a family planning clinic or your GP and sort out some reliable birth control until you and your partner are ready to have another child.

CaptainDippy · 31/01/2006 20:50

Ouch.
