Is this normal? I'm really worried and scared

This morning I took DD (6) to school yet by lunchtime I couldn't remember whether I actually took her or left her at the bus stop and got on the bus and went to school without her Shock. I ended up panicing, chasing round looking for her and even ringing the school to check she was there - which thankfully she was. I am certain the office staff thought I was mad

I've noticed myself forgetting little things but this really really scared me. I literally have no recollection of taking DD further than the bus stop.

Ha yeah! Going out in my slippers, issues with thinking of the word to describe something, forgetting people's names....

Sounds normal to me with my last pregnancy my husband had to go home at lunch time (on the train we had no car) to check I had shut the front door as I was worried I hadn't and could not remember!! It was awful! But normal baby brain!

getting up stairs and forgetting why I am there - wandering aimlessly from room to room in the hope i'll remember.....

only finally remember when I get back down stairs

DCs 14 and 16

Seriously though if worried about the important things a tip i was given was to check what you are wearning ... said goodbye at school gates - pink shirt or favourite earrings & then if you are worried later you can remember it!!

flonthego · 06/03/2012 21:23

or perhaps at 14 and 16 I should be more worried Confused

I get this a lot at the moment (nearly 7 mths pg).

I think the real issue is... Umm... Hang on.

No, wait, give me a minute. It'll come to me.

Haha luv it! Only because its nice to know its quite a common thing! I actualy finished work the other night and when i got to my car i unlocked it and got in the passenger side. Not really sure what i expected to happen next haha. To save my embarrassment in the busy carpark i just climbed over into the drivers seat. Oooops! Haha

Oh yes. I remember putting the iron in the fridge, because that was obviously where it went. Saw a heavily pregnant woman is the supermarket 'tother day with arms ladened with food dropping things all over the floor. When I went to help she said she'd forgotten to get a trolley. Totally understandable. Bugger, you've made me feel broody. Enjoy your pregnancy.

Yep big style. 33 weeks and last week I had a serious go at 2 friends from college, big squabble because I was adamant they had my phone...couldn't find it for the life of me..emptied my bag 10 times..to then find it in my pocket!

Yes!! I'm only 11 weeks and I've been terrible, it's my boyfriends birthday tomorrow and I forgot to hide his birthday card and gifts, he came home from work and saw it on the sofa. Also forgetting what I have gone into a room for etc, I'm getting worse too! Haha
