Ria - alongside all your many other symptoms, and many other threads, and your personal experience of premature labour, I really think this is something you need to be asking your MW, or the labour ward, not Mumsnet.

Hope all is okay. :)

i just replied to someones post about the same sort of thing. my midwife is shickingly awful!! i have had to request that she sees me after several attempts of calling and her being on annual leave and leaving numerous messages!! i have called my hospital but they have closed both in my area due to being 'full' even wont give me advice over the phone!!
I only post on mumsnet because i feel i can get some advice. some is better than nothing. surely?
Its nice to hear different opinions rather than going mad googling it or thinking things in my own head!
I'm sorry and promise in future i wont post anymore.

Dont take the hump! Grin

Im on the April thread, and know your background - all of your symptoms add up to a premature labour, and youve had a preemie before havent you?

Mumsnet - as ace as we are, cant see what you can see, and arent trained - I dont want you leaving all these symptoms to late!

Ria - please dont feel you cant post on here thats what mn is for, Im sure all jambalaya meant was we wouldnt want you to be in trouble if a mw wasnt aware it must be really scary to give birth that early, so if its going to happen again you need to be prepared. Have the hospital advised you what to do if they are full and cant give you advice??? that sounds shocking about your own mw too. Hope all is ok :)

you could be, BUT it doesn't necessarily mean labour is about to start, you can lose the plug over a few days. a bloody show is more indicative of dilation /labour starting, than just mucous. having seen the last post, if you've had a prem baby before, then you might need to keep more of an eye on things, if the unit is closed, then ask which one you should phone, should you need to go in....

I had similar at around 34-35 weeks, then not much more. Now 38 weeks, a bit more. Always clear. It doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent
