Red cabbage test

Hi,
I'd been reading about the red cabbage test and decided to give it a try earlier (silly i know but its all good fun) but anyway it says i'm having a another girl. I was just curious to know if anyone else has tried it and if its worked for you or not?

What on earth is the red cabbage test?

You have to boil a red cabbage in water for 10 minutes then take out the cabbage and add 1 part of the cabbage water to 1 part pee. apparently if the water turns purple its a girl if it changes to pink/red its a boy. Me and my friend did it together she got a boy and i got girl.

So basically it's detecting if your wee is acid or alkaline?

Think of it this way - it will be right 50% of the time

Aside from the grosnes of mixing cabbage water and wee...surely one man's pink is another man's purple, and vice versa? Not like the difference between green and red is it?
