How can you tell difference between waters and wee

I am 27 wks and for a few weeks seem to be leaking but asked midwife, labour ward and obstetrician about it and they said I would know if it was waters. I also have had a white discharge. Been told that's normal too.my urinary continence has not been great anyway but how do you tell if it's amniotic fluid rather than wee and what should you do? It's only a little each day,don't need to change underwear and like I say I sneeze and I wee but someimes I feel a little something regardless which I suppose could be wee or discharge. Perhaps I am just neurotic!

They can check it for you in the hospital OP.

I was told to wear a pad and they took it away and tested it. You must get this checked though, if only to put your mind at rest.

I had this problem too, wondering I'd it we're fluid, wee or discharge

The test is to lie down for half hour. If when you stand back up you get a gush it's fluid.

Also fluid has a sweet smell.

In the end mine was just discharge

But as always, get confirmed by a hcp

The waters smell earthy someone told me that they smell like semen an actually I thought that too. During my pregnancy I used to leak wee too

The problem is I have been trying to discern a smell and I have been drinking so much water at the moment that my wee smells hardly at all. I also have this discharge which smells sweet I suppose. I was in antenatal sun night and they said I would know if it was not wee but did not suggest any test! I had to wait three hrs nearly and just don't think I can face that tonight. What should I do?

I had ALOT of discharge so much so I was convinced I had an infection I was tested 3 times throughout pregnancy and it was negative. I know how ur feeling its awful wondering if everythings ok and normal.wen my waters actually broke I had been having pains and I stood up from bed an felt as tho I had passed blood that was my forewaters going. How have u been?

Went to hospital and they looked and said not waters such a relief. Did not take pad to test but did a swab.
