hi, just found out im 6 weeks pregnant and due on the 31st october, its my first baby and me and the father are both petrified and thrilled at the same time, id just like any advice on how to survive the agonising wait until the 12 week scan, im scared t eat the wrong thing, scared that laying on my belly will harm the baba and think im being over cautious about everything, please help settle my nerves because all i want is a beautiful healthy baby but i want to enjoy the process of getting it

Congrats!
Just dont do anything you dont feel comfortable with and just trust your body. It knows what ti do if you don't!
If you want a book that answers your questions I recommend "what to expect when you're expecting". Can get it cheaply on Amazon.
Good luck!!

I second vanillacreme, its a great book and I am still referring to it on my second. Huge congratulations to you on your wonderful news, and be assured, pretty much everybody feels exactly the same way at the beginning! Worry is all a part of being pregnant, and it gives you plenty to talk about with all the other mumsnet users in the Pregnancy topic Grin.

If you want other iPhone apps, there's a thread on here with loads of suggestions for them.
I've downloaded the sprout one and baby centre ones today from their recommendations and they're great!

I'm 6+6 and due 25th October and feel exactly the same so i am going to buy that book! 12 week scan seems so far away and i'm getting married between now and then so should be distracted but i'm not. Congrats everyone! xx

My advice is too spend as much time on the sofa as you can eating cadburys (babies like chocolate!)

Seriously just take it easy, rest as much as possible and im sure all the symptoms will come soon to take your mind off your worries!

Congratulations xx
