Chicken Pox & Pregnancy

So, my toddler seems to be brewing some chicken pox. I am 10 weeks pregnant. My Mum can't remember if I had chicken pox when I was little.

Should I be worried? What can I do? Even if it was possible to avoid my toddler, isn't it too late to start avoiding him now?

This says you should contact a gp/hv if you arent sure if you've had CP in the past

Contact your midwife or GP, they will know what to do and there are things they can do to check your immunity and protect you and your baby

Thanks Seona and lala. I am waiting for a call back from the out of hours doctor.

UPDATE in case anyone is researching this in the future.

It's important to ring your GP immediately if you are exposed to chicken pox and aren't sure whether you've had it before as you only have a maximum 10 days to get an injection of antibodies (immunoglobulin) and it's much better to have the injection within 4 days of first contact with the infection so speed is everything as you need a blood test first to establish whether or not you've had chicken pox before.

I had an urgent blood test which thankfully established that I have immunity so didn't need any further treatment.
