What the heck is this?

I am nearly 15 weeks pregnant and a couple of hours ago felt what can only be described as a punch to the fanny bone (apologies for my lack of anatomical knowledge but the bit where the pubic hair is at the front). Now it is still a bit achey, but when I try to walk, especially when I put my right foot down, it's really really painful, like a dull ache. My right hip has also clicked very loudly a couple of times.

Does anyone have any ideas what this is?

Thanks everyone

Sounds like the progesterone is kicking in and relaxing your ligaments. It's normal.

Many thanks for the reassurance, it feels like my body isn't my own and it's good to have an idea of what's normal!

I may be SPD/PGP, if it is painful or affecting your movement, you should talk to your midwife, relaxed ligaments is normal, but severe pain can be managed, your midwife can refer you to a physio, and depending on how that goes, and your finances, you may want to see a chiropractor or osteopath privately.

I second spd! Sounds typical.
