I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have developed quite severe mastitis, I've been running fever for 3 days now, spiking up and down. Paracetamol helps but wears off before I'm due the next dose. I went to out of hours doc last night and she prescribed me Flucloxacillin for 7 days and said that I looked systemically unwell, at that point my temp was 38 (with paracetamol in my system).
I'm a bit worried that high fever like this can harm baby especially in 1st trimester, does anyone know? Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon but I can't help but worry. Oh also I've developed some quite nasty diarrhoea too, keeping fluids up but feel like shit!
