Not at all. I ate rubbish whilst pregnant w/DD2. She's pretty healthy. ARe you taking vitamin supplements? Pizza can be healthy! Just go veggie supreme.

Mandymoo · 29/01/2006 20:41

No, not taking any supplements

However, i do have my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and only drink water/milk - does that sound ok ish?

Yep, that sounds fine. Water, especially.

Try to lay off too many caffeinated fizzy drinks, but it doesn't sound like you're having those.

Mandymoo · 29/01/2006 20:46

Nope - dont have any fizzy drinks!

Just panicking in case i give myself gestational diabetes or damage my bump in any way!!

I only ate chocolate for the majority of my pregnancy and my little lad came out fine.

Only problem is that I am still eating as much but have no excuse for eating it now!!!

Mandymoo · 29/01/2006 20:47

Starting to feel less guilty now! Seriously though, if i dont have at least 2 choc bars a day, something is wrong

You are not a bad person.

I ate CRAP when I was pregnant. I was sick at the thought of eating red meat, vegetables, salad or health shakes. My stomach turned at the smell of certain foods. Even supplements made me sick (took one in the morning and threw up just after getting off the bus in the middle of town, how embarrassing!) Fizzy drinks made me sick. I once ate a turkey dinner with veg at my mums at Easter (baby was due in October) and I threw up and that ended any tentative relationship I'd had with veggies.
I mostly craved things either wrapped in batter or breadcrumbs, so pratically survived on spring rolls and fish fingers. Chip cobs for lunch at work. Sometimes I managed a tuna cob. I loved KFC and McDonalds when pregnant. I did eat rubbish.
Amazingly I only put on 7lbs when pregnant. DD was born weighing 8lbs 13.5 and is now following the 50% line for everything.
You're not a bad person or damaging your baby. Your diet sounds a lot better than mine was!!

Mandymoo · 29/01/2006 22:02

thanks Elf - now have a craving for chips!!
