....did it ever go away? I'm 22 weeks and still really quite sick. About twice a day. I have had 3 previous pregnancies and with all of them I stopped puking at around 16 weeks.

Just wondering if there's any chance it might stop or if that's the way it's going to be right til the end. Am really struggling and an emetophobe which really doesn't help.

Mines finally stopped around week 25. I lost 10kg from week 9 until my 1st community midwife in week 26 thats how sick I was. Lots of fun, but it has finally stopped. Still get sick in the morning sometimes and I'm now at 28 weeks.

I had a friend who told me she was sick right up until 39 weeks.... and it only stopped because her son was born at 39 weeks.

I was sick all the way through Sad did ease off from several times a day to about once every other day by about half way through. I took it as a sign that I had good strong pregnancy hormones (and made dh clear it up) Wink

Ah weezie, that gives me hope! Just can't bear the thought of another 20 weeks of it. It's not like the first trimester by any means but it's still so draining. And miserable!

I know, it was rubbish. Worst was after 12 weeks when everyone kept saying 'you'll be feeling better now'. Erm.....no!

cathyearnshaw · 02/03/2012 20:39

I've actually put on 10 kilos Blush doing a lot of dry heaving and getting into bouts which last 20 mins or so but not a lot comes up.

If it was down to every other day I would cope better.
Make dh clean it up? In 18 weeks of puking he hasn't once rubbed my back or said a single word of sympathy. Think he thinks I'm doing it on purpose...

Mine stopped at around 26 weeks, and restarted again at 35/ 36 weeks for both pregnancies Sad

I hope your sickness stops soon, it's horrible when your waiting for the milestones for sickness to stop, and it just carries on relentlessly!

BellaCB · 02/03/2012 20:40

Mine stopped around 25w as well. I honestly thought it would never stop, but then I had a day where I was only sick once, and then the next day struggled through without being sick, and then it slowly got better. However I did feel nauseous for the rest of my pg and stayed on the Stemetil the whole time, but even nausea was soooo easy to cope with after months of running to the toilet four or five times a day. Have hope! I bet it will start to get better soon Smile

hambo · 02/03/2012 20:40

I stopped about 25 ish weeks too - I feel for you!!!!!!!!! It is soo soo horrible and no one knows how horrific you feel - even my hair felt sick.....I hope you wake up tomorrow and feel great! xx

cathyearnshaw · 02/03/2012 20:44

Well you've all given me enough hope to get me to 25 weeks! Would be nice to feel ok for a while before the end of the third trimester kicks in with all it's delights.

Mine only stopped when ds was born. It was weird to wake up the next morning and not feel or be sick.

cathyearnshaw · 04/03/2012 21:15

Mollie that's what I'm dreading, another 20 weeks of it. It did get a bit better but has returned this week with a vengeance.
