38w - period pains after going to the toilet!

Possibly TMI, but a couple of weeks ago I started getting period-type pains immediately after going to the toilet. They are getting stronger, and they are not associated with Braxton Hicks. Does anyone know why? Is there anything wrong?

My body gets weirder and weirder the further along I get...

Have you been tested for a UTI? I had those pains last week they reminded me of early labour (35 weeks with DC4) and I had a water infection which can kick off contractions!

After having antibiotics they have settled down!

I had the same but earlier on in pregnancy, about 22 weeks iirc. The doctor couldn't figure out why. I was tested for a UTI but it was clear and everything else was fine.

Go and see your GP/midwife, you might have a UTI.
