Having a baby inside of me: Amazing Grin

Being pregnant in order to get the baby: horrible!!! Angry I feel sick and exhausted! I want these 7 months to go super quick so I can have my baby!!!

VickityBoo · 01/03/2012 16:19

I'm sure I will love it once I get to about half way...it is a beautiful day though and for once I don't feel sick! I am 8 weeks so counting down to the magic 12. Sailed through last time and bloody loved it all.

PeelingmyselfofftheCeiling · 01/03/2012 16:22

Wierdo.

Only kidding. But seriously, pregnancy and I do not get on! Vomit, insomnia, stretch marks, skin tags, howling spd... I had about 2 good weeks, then gave birth 2 months early!!

stripeyZ · 01/03/2012 16:37

It is an amazing process, although I felt like utter shit for the first six months. Third trimester is great though. Smile

Beans1977 · 01/03/2012 16:54

This post made me smile - I'm 10+3 and have been worrying myself silly of late. I've had a MMC before and lost a twin in this pregnancy and am now completely doing my own head in - let alone DH's!

I read your post and I just thought 'Yes, she's right. I am happy. Being pregnant rocks. Today I am pregnant and what will be will be.'

So I had a moment where I felt really happy - thank you!

TessTosterone · 01/03/2012 17:29

I hate hate hate hate being pregnant sadly. Good for you though!

iloveberries · 01/03/2012 18:08

nice thread.

i am so delighted and grateful to be pregnant.

counting down to the 12 week point. only 6 weeks though so still a long way to go.

KatAndKit · 01/03/2012 18:17

I am thrilled to be pregnant due to the fact that I will have a baby at last.

But I hate the actual state of being pregnant. At 34 weeks I feel like crap and I wish it was all over!

I do enjoy it when I see him kicking me and wriggling around. But I do not enjoy the insomnia, the heartburn, the awful pain that I am in at the moment. Or the hormones.

Am very glad that I don't have long to go!

iloveberries · 01/03/2012 18:29

oh katandkit your post has made me remember that bit at the end when you just want that baby OUT. It's your DC1 i take it? Can you start mat leave early and put your feet up for a bit?

Lizziewhizzie · 01/03/2012 19:13

Woo Hoo how cool is it! And I've had no nausea for the last two days woo hoo :)

hippieshake · 01/03/2012 21:58

I had a thought like this last night. I was lay in bed feeling my little Baba moving around and I thought 'wow I'm pregnant!'

DH and I tried for a year, and were told we wouldn't conceive naturally, but just before fertility treatment we somehow managed to. I then secretly longed for a little girl, which two scans have now confirmed that I'm having. I feel like the luckiest person in the world! :)

Kiwiinkits · 01/03/2012 22:05

I bet OP's in her second trimester.

Wait till the end of your third trimester, OP, just wait...

katiesprout · 02/03/2012 04:29

Ha Ha! Pregnant with DC1 and at 36 weeks awake since 3am because I've had heartburn, wind and now I'm hungry! I love the fact that I'm carrying our baby but am so uncomfortable right now. Does anyone else feel like their ribs are bruised with the baby pressing on them the whole time?!

I've had a yoghurt and that hasn't cut it - might have to go for some toast...

georgethecat · 02/03/2012 05:18

Same here katiesprout mmmmmmm cheesey oatcakes......

OP deffo in 2nd trimester!

KatAndKit · 02/03/2012 05:27

iloveberries yes it's my first! Had feet up pretty much since 21 weeks - mat leave not an issue here! So very rested but also very bored. And up too early, been awake since 3.30.
I'd be really happy if he decided to make his debut at 38 weeks - that would be just perfect with me. Knowing my luck it will be closer to 42 weeks!

MaMattoo · 02/03/2012 05:28

I am so pleased for you. I had a hard pregnancy and post delivery was depressing...so one kid is all I have/want.

Enjoy it!!! I only miss patting his bum as he shifted around inside...rest if it....NAaaaah!

CGall · 02/03/2012 08:51

I love being pregnant and love feeling the baby move and love rubbing my belly and carrying around my own little companion who will be even more of a companion at the end of this.

What I dont love is the pains in my hip, trying to sit, trying to lie, trying to walk. I dont even have spd, its a problem I have made worse in pregnancy, if i didnt have that, i wouldnt be yearning for the end at all. 4 weeks to go!

DizzyKipper · 02/03/2012 16:45

I'm also curious OP what trimester you're in? Second trimester here and for the last 4 or 5 days have been in constant, albeit mild, pain. Not having so much fun here, although glad to be having a baby.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 02/03/2012 16:50

I loved being pregnant. I do miss DD sqidling around inside, but it is lovely to have her on the outside now and get to know her better!

JUJUBUG · 06/03/2012 12:23

Im 5 months pregnant and yes it will probably will be horrible later down the line, but do you know what, if it was that bad people would not have a second or third child?

We are all lucky to be having our babies no matter how horrible it may get. Some woman can not even concieve so lets all be grateful and enjoy the moment!! x

Pomtastic · 06/03/2012 13:12

JUJUBUG - it won't necessarily be horrible later in pregnancy; I've been waiting since about 20 weeks for things to become really uncomfortable (heartburn, painful kicks, achey joints/muscles, sleeplessness, lack of mobility, constipation, generally unbearable etc).

Am now 38+5 weeks & still waiting for all of these things to happen (I do realise that I've got a few weeks left to get all the above though!) I'm genuinely loving being pregnant and really don't want it to end. Get a bit emotional about it actually Blush

I spent most of the 2nd and 3rd trimesters dreading the uncomfy phase - big waste of time!

JUJUBUG · 06/03/2012 14:25

Pomtastic that is great!! awwww i bet you cant wait to hold your little cherub x

All the best x

I think there was about 3 weeks I enjoyed, perhaps 20-23 weeks. The rest has sucked big time!! Of course feel very blessed etc etc but I just do not enjoy any aspect of being pregnant, even having the baby move, aside from being reassuring is now just uncomfortable, pressing on my sciatic nerve and right up into my ribs. But JuJUBUG you are right, this is my third so it cant be all that bad.... But if i could go to bed and wake up in 13 days that would be just wondereful. Xx
