...morning everyone!

A lad at work yesterday thought his little boy had chicken pox but turned out it's measles!

He felt a bit rough himself yesterday and now he knows what it is he's staying off today becuase i'm pregnant and another lad who works here has got a pregnant girlfriend

I didn't get too close to him yesterday but i did drink a brew that he made me, i'm panicking!! Baby was moving as usaul last night, not felt her yet today but i had a rubbish sleep so she was probably up with me all night and she'll have a lie in, i dont feel her till lunch time some days and becuase i'm worried then today will be one of those days no doubt!

I've had all of my injections when i was little but i'm not immune to Rubella, i need to have it as soon as i give birth the midwife thinks my body just didn't take to it when i had it! I've had chicken pox aswell when i was small!

Sorry for rambling, just wondered if there's anything i need to do or am i being a pregnant paranoid person? xx

this says you should contact your GP

i would second contacting your gp or mw i think it depends on how far along as to what the risk would be but they will be able to give you some advice x

I've googled it and it says if you're not immune it can cause stillbirth or prem labour but i am immune to measles just not rubells, i will phone the midwife at lunch time, it's unbelievable never been exposed to it in my life and when i am it's when i'm 34 weeks pregnant ;(

if you're immune to measles then there is no issue as you wont get it and therefore it wont affect the baby
