Anterior placenta question

Had 20 wk scan yesterday and I have an anterior placenta. I've read something that says this makes a caesarean more risky - does anyone know if this is true?

I had this with ds and also have it with current pg.

with ds it was low lying as well and over previous caesarean scar and i developed something called placenta accreta which did cause a lot of complications. This time my placenta is anterior but apparently not low lying so they have said it will cause no problems with cs at all as they wont be cutting anywhere near it.

I am not 100% but i think it is only an issue when it is low lying.

Hi, I have an anterior placenta and am booked in for a section. Mine is high so consultant not at all phased. As other poster suggested, I am sure it can be a problem with low lying placentas.
