Hi everyone,

today I woke up with quite a lot of pain and pink cervical mucas that turned to blood but not that much and only visible when I wipe (TMI!)

I went to the EPU and they scanned me but they couldnt see Anything. The doctor was lovely and said she would take bloods and repeat them in a few days, and that sometimes it is too early to see anything, but that everything can still turn out okay,

Anyone had this??

Hi, I have had this. I am now 8 weeks and started with the blood when wiped at what I thought was 6 weeks but when they scanned me they couldn't see anything, so having had 2 miscarriages thought it had happened again. They told bloods and repeated then 48 hours after.
These came back as progressing so booked another scan a week later and could then see baby measuring 5 weeks. So it turned out I was 2 weeks earlier than I thought.
Then a week later I was bleeding again and in pain so went to hospital and they did an internal, after that was bleeding heavy so thought it was def over but had a scan and baby was fine and measuring 6 weeks.
Still bleeding a bit most days at 8 weeks but still feeling very much pregnant.
Its such an anxious time, really hope everything turns out well for you. X

Jelly - Thanks for your reply... that sounds really scary! I hope things continue to be okay for you!

Now I'm having brown mucusy type blood, quite thick :S when I wipe... could this just be because I had an internal ultrasound today?

God I hope everything is okay!

This is awful.

I haven't had this but I did bleed with 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies.

Brown coloured mucus type can either be the start of a miscarriage - which you will know is happening if you start to get fresh, bright red blood. OR, if your period would have been due had you not been pregnant, it could just be a little of that.

2 of mine miscarried, 1 was fine.

Fingers crossed for you and I hope you get some good news! Take it easy if you can and try (although admittedly difficult) to not worry too much. There really is nothing you can do but hope for the best.

Let us know how you get on. X

I've not had any more bleeding, but have woken up today and taken a clearblue digital, which says not pregnant.

I had 'pregnant 2-3' last week.

Is it over? Am I stupid for even asking?

I am so sorry but it does sound like it is. It is an emotional and difficult time but it does happen alot and doesn't mean that you will have problems in future pregnancies. I would have a look over at the miscarriage boards. They were a great source of support when I had a miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage) last year.

Take some time to deal with the emotional side of having a miscarriage and I hope that next time things work out better.
