Private scans

I would like to have a private scan - not 4D - so I can take my DCs to see their little baby brother or sister... possibly quite self-indulgent but I want to try and involve them as much as possible.

I've had a look on a Google search and there seems quite a few listed but not sure quite how to chose which one to go to. So, I thought I'd ask the lovely MNetters if you've got any tips? Or if you are in West Sussex, where did you go?

Hope I haven't done the classic newbie thing and posted in the wrong place!

Thank you :)

Google Babybond and see if there is a clinic near you - they have locations all over the country. I have used them twice and been happy with their service both times, including the first time when they had to give me bad news.
They do a 2d growth scan for £99, although that isn't massively cheaper than having the 4d option really. I loved my 4d scan although I know not everyone is a fan.

Thanks KatAndKit

There are two local Babybonds - but both have hotels as their address. Isn't that a bit odd???!

They might just rent facilities there one day a week if you are not anywhere near a large town and it isn't worth their while having a six days a week facility of their own.
Does anything else come up on google apart from babybond? Most clinics are pretty much of a muchness with this sort of thing anyway.

I'm close to Brighton, Crawley, Portsmouth - all of them are at a Holiday Inn. You're probably right about renting a space.

The others are London or Kent which is too far to go. However, I have just found another Crawley one which is about £75 so not too expensive. I think I'll email both :)

I went to Baby Premier in London - that might be a bit far for you and the DC to come though. I think they have other locations so maybe try them? They were really good.

Its nowhere near you but Bath Royal United Hospital do private 2D scans in the evenings which cost about £45.
Could be worth phoning your local big hospital to see if they also offer the same service?

My local NHS hospital definitely don't, but we do have a BMI Hospital nearby so they might be worth a looksee :)

Thank you everyone :)
