Sore throat- could it be acid reflux??

Hi Ladies,
Fingers crossed someone might have some experience here!

Currently i'am 29 weeks and I'm suffering from, honestly, the worst acid reflux of my life! Since the begining really, i've had the same problem but now I've entered the third trimester EVERYTHING gives me reflux rather than the handful of avoidable food villains previously. Even plain rice is causing reflux at the moment!!
Been chugging lots (and lots and lots) of Gaviscon and it does help but in the last few days I've developed an odd sore throat.

With no other signs of infection (temp or cold) I really dont want to bother my GP unless they can actually help.
Can stomach acid come up your throat enough to 'burn' it??
Any advice at all would be so welcome! Thanks in advance.

I've got no real advice to offer but when I've had heartburn (reason I'm awake now
Sad) and I burp the acid does come up into my throat making it burn. So if yours is frequent, I would think that you're right in thinking that's what's causing it.

Horrible isn't it Sad

Yes, sore throat can be due to reflux. Gave you tried sitting up straight for meals and at least an hour after, sleeping propped up and switching to Gaviscon advance? I have the same problem (sympathy) and the above help, as does being v careful about what I eat (v little fat, v little tomato, no orange juice, no spice, no coffee) and having more small meals rather than 3 bigger ones.
