pubic pain

I suspect I'm just getting myself at it but just after some reassurance of such.

I've been getting pain in the pubic area for the last few days. It is not extremely painful, more like a constant ache but it is lasting for hours at a time. It's so far been aching since about 7 this morning - so close enough to 12 hours of constant ache. I know about round ligament pain and cramping during pregnancy, but this ache has been a lot lower down than anything I've felt so far and has also been very prolonged - it's that what's making me wonder if this is cause for concern. Is it normal to be aching for 12 hours non-stop? Oh I'm 23+2 btw.

I tried to phone the midwives, only getting voice mail. Tried phoning on-call midwife who diverted the call to the labour ward who diverted call to day assessment unit - who told me to speak to the midwife who may then refer me back to the day assessment unit for a thorough checkup, so I've left a voicemail with the midwife, not expecting a call back tonight and possible will be having to call them again tomorrow. Bit of a run around and not really any answers.

So chill out and accept I am probably being paranoid over what is normal cramping in pregnancy or take it more seriously and pursue the midwife for a thorough check?

I've had a pain in my groin since I was about 30 weeks pregnant. To me, it feels muscular. Gets most painful in the morning when I get out of bed... I'm nearly hobbling. Midwife said it was the muscles because I am on number 2 and they've just got weaker. It does ache for quite long periods but unlike spd, seems to get better when I walk. Body does wierd things when you're preggy!

Thanks for the responses, I hadn't even considered that - I'd always thought spd would be far too severe for the pain I'm experiencing, which really I'd just put down as mild but chronic. I've also noticed that sometimes when I've been standing for a while I suddenly feel quite ill and as though I find it difficult to breathe (ditto for squatting too long). Also started getting more severe back pain (mostly when lying in bed) which is making it quite difficult and painful to change positions in bed. Would these in any way be related? I'd just been putting them down as normal pregnancy symptoms.
