right hand side pain appendix or ligaments

Luckily pregnancy is just giving me one thing at a time at the moment. For yesterday and today the gift is a nice comming and going pain on right hand side of bump sort of inline with hip bone maybe a bit higher. stopped me walking yesterday as it was so painful. comes and goes. I am guessing ligaments or where baby is kicking or sitting, but have made dr appnt to make sure not appendix! Anyone else had this? It comes and goes worse on movement...? and for tomorrow...!

oh sorry am 24 weeks and 2 days!

I had appendicitis at 33 weeks of pregnancy, by that point appendix is no where near where it would be normally, mine was somewhere near the top of my rib cage on my back not sure where it would be at 24 weeks though.

The pain I had was excruciating and I was very unwell, very similar pain to labour. I hope it is more ligament pain they you are having, it does sound like it could be that.

hello bree thanks for reply. what happend? did they have to operate? I went to docs yesterday and typically the pain had subsided quite a bit, and this morning had really bad diarhea (sorry for that) so think it may just be the delights of my intestines and also ligament pain rolled in together - but crikey who knows! How did they know it was appendicitis? She did say that if it was I would be getting worse pain, not better.

I had a my baby delivered by CS and appendix removed at the same time, all went ok!

It took them 3 days in hospital before they diagnosed as they were looking for an obstetric cause, eventually they put two and two together after the pain got worse and my blood tests showed serious infection, was also vomiting luminous green, tmi

Glad pain is getting better but keep an eye on it as mine niggled for a week or so but I thought it was kidney pain.

thanks bree so pleased you and baby were okay. will keep an eye on it. Doctor felt were appendix -should be- and it didn't hurt but then i guess it wouldn't if it had moved!
