Help! Anyone else been told they have a "kink" in the gestational sac?

I had an internal scan today at 6+6 cause of some bleeding last week. The sonographer measured it at 6 weeks (I have a 33 to 35 day cycle and ovulated at day 20/21 so the growth discrepancy might be explained by the dates) and said there was a kink in the sac which I understood was not a Good Thing. She said it might be the start of a collapse which, I assume, would then lead to an obvious m/carriage. Has anyone else experienced this sort of irregularity? In my head, I know this one is not viable but my heart wants to cling on to it until the repeat scan next week.

Mince, sorry, absolutely no knowledge here but hope someone else comes along with some soon.
Try not to panic (impossible I'm sure) have a cup of tea whilst you wait for your DH. And google no more.

Thanks to everyone for the assistance! Guess I'll just have to wait and see if the bean lives...feel quite detached from it at the mo but sure that won't last the day.

I'm sorry, I don't have much knowledge on this one but I'd agree that a misshapen sac might not be a great sign. However I wouldn't worry about the date discrepancy as that is common at that stage and explainable by your cycle.

Did the sonographer give you any information about the size and heart rate?

I really hope you get better news at your rescan.
