Hi, does anyone have experience of conceiving straight after mirena removal,i.e before af returned?I've had the mirena in since just after birth of ds, had no periods whilst it was in (18 months) and nobody told me to wait when I had it taken out but I've somehow managed to get pg right away.wasn't worried until my gp said my endometrium probably wont be thick enough and i'll probably miscarry, and just to wait till 12 week scan!!!!!! is there any chance this wll be ok?

Try not to worry (easier said than done I know).

I had my mirena removed, immediately had a few days of bleeding - period or withdrawal, who knows Confused - then got pg straight away.

Everything was fine, and I now have 15mo DS trying to sit on the keyboard as I type...fingers crossed that all will be ok for you x

Oh, and when I had my mirena removed my GP never mentioned anything about waiting before ttc.

Hi there x I had my mirena surgically removed at the end of May last year due to it being embedded. Had period early July and fell pregnant. I was advised by my consultant that I could fall pregnant ( to which I replied 'Oh well :)' )
I am now 33 weeks had some slight implantation spotting at 6, 9 and 11 weeks but a good strong and healthy pregnancy .
