I am 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I am deffinatly ready for my baby girl to come out! Not only cause I want to hold her but because I am misserable and have every possible sign of pre-labour! So here it all is....two weeks ago she dropped very low. I know because I almost feel like I'm sitting on her, I have lots of pelvic pain and I need to pee every ten minutes! Litteraly! I can't sleep its almost impossible. With my belly being huge, the pulled muscle in my back, all my other back pains, bh contractions and feeling like I'm gunna pee the bed! My bh contractions are so strong at times I can barely breathe and deffinatly can't move. They start in my back and then feel like a very bad period cramp. I have diarehea constantly! I am also very naueses and have lots of headaches. Sometimes I get sharp shooting pains in my pelvic area. Today I started sweellingand its weird to me cause I haven't been swollen once throughout my pregnancy. I really just want to know if anyone had this many symptoms and how long it was until labour started for them! Anything would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm so sorry, you sound like me with dd1; who was 14 days late. I could only sit on a birthing ball I was so sure I'd squish her head. I had the runs too, headaches, massive swelling, leaking boobs.

I'm now 36 weeks with number 2 & trying to remember that impatience does not start labour.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but try to prepare yourself. It is normal to be late with your first.

When did you last see a mw? Could all be late pregnancy niggles but some of those symptoms can hint at other things. How long have you had the headaches? Where is the swelling?

Normal gestation is 37-42 weeks. So your baby will arrive some time in the next month.

OP, please make sure you get your blood pressure checked, as well as your protein levels in your urine. That swelling could be pre-eclampsia. Don't want to alarm you but it sounds very similar to what happened to me - I developed swelling quite late on in my pregnancy and it was mild -pre-eclampsia.

You're nearly there now! :)

So I woke up monday night and I thought for sure I was in labour! So I started timing my contractions, but shortly after I started feeling very sick. So I called the hospital and they said to come in right away. (I live an hour and a half from my hospital!) So I woke up my boyfriend and away we went. On the way my contractions started being five mins apart and I started to panic! I then felt sick so he pulled over and I violently threw up everything possible. After that my contractions stopped. When I got to the hospital they hooked me up to an iv and did lots of tests. Turns out I have a really bad flu. I spent two days on iv! I'm home now but I feel misserable I'm now hopping that I won't go into labour till I'm better! My doctor also said that she is right there and it will be anytime now!! :d

When I saw consultant at 39+4 due to static growth she said I'd be any day. I now want to know where she lives so I can slap her cos she has jinxed me. 41+5 and still waiting and I blame her!
