I know I shouldn't expect too much from my body while I am carrying my fourth child... but OMG the least it could do is hold my pee in while I am coughing Blush Sad Angry

I have got the most awful chesty cough. Really, really coughing hard - so much so my sides hurt and it is making me retch at its worst. The worst part of it all is the little leak Blush when I'm coughing hardest. I worked really hard on my core strength and pelvic floor after the other babies so I can't really believe this is happening :(

Please tell me I'm not the only one.............

I am 36 weeks and thought I was holding up well on the pelvic floor front.... However now I have a cold and am sneezing lots, its become apparent I have a lot more work to do!

My mum is calling me wee wee pants. Your not alone!

willowshimmer · 26/02/2012 18:58

Me too ( holding hand up) :(
I am 33 weeks with number 4 and never had a problem with stress incontinence b4 but I too had a heavy cold cough etc and started doing 'a little bit of seepage' lol. Totally embarrassing even though noone knows and having to wear panty liners!
I been doing pelvic floor exercises and can easily stop mid flow so PF is working!!! The worst is when I am sick ( still suffering from sickness on and off) How can u empty yr bladder and still pee when yr sick???????
Its all so attractive isnt it lol !!!!!!

two words ...tena pads :)

thistlemuncher · 26/02/2012 19:12

I was told after DS to turn my head and look over my shoulder when sneezing or coughing for the first 6 weeks after birth as this exerts less pressure on the pelvic floor. No idea if it's true...

used2bthin · 26/02/2012 19:49

I will be trying the head turning trick! For now am in pads because with a cold recently I was changing underwear so frequently that I was running out! For me it was coughing, sneezing and evenn blowing my nose!

SoozyWoozy · 27/02/2012 11:26

I don't think I could even look at Tena, let alone put them in my basket!! I'll stick to panty liners LOL.

Fed up of coughing now, I sound like I smoke 60 woodbine a day!

blondiep14 · 27/02/2012 11:35

I was the same with DS2, I resorted to Tena panty liners!
