Hi,

I'm on the pill and my 'period' was weird this month, it was a few days later than normal and only lasted for one day, it's also not as heavy, I have only got a small amount of light blood when I wipe (sorry if TMI!)

I sent my DP out for a pregnancy test this afternoon and he came back with a clear blue one (but not the digital that I'd asked for), I've done the test and in the result window I have a very dark line going across the window and a very, very faint line coming down, it's so faint that you can barely see it - do you think it is a positive result or could this be an evoporation line?

I'm going to do another test tomorrow because all the shops are now shut, but I'm supposed to start the pill again tomorrow, should I still take the pill incase I'm not pregnant or would this affect the baby if there is one?

I'm just so confused, I've been on the pill for 10 years and nothing like this has ever happened to me :(

I'd appreciate any advice x

My faint line is 4 years old now!

I would do another test tomorrow, keep a midstream first morning sample for best result that you can test when you have had chance to buy another test.

Don't take the pill until you are sure of the result, use other protection if needed!

Have you any other symptoms, have you been ill or missed taking it?

Did the faint line come up within the test time?

Don't take the Pill until you're certain, however a false positive is almost impossible to get.

Buy a cheap test tomorrow, from threads on here they seem to work sooner than the expensive ones Smile

I did have tender breasts earlier this week, I thought it was because my period was due but thinking back they were more tender than usual, however they've settled down now.

I have felt sick at times but I wasn't sure if it was more to do with worry than anything. Think I have been convincing myself that I can't be pregnant.

I haven't missed any pills or taken any late, I've always been so safe, like I say I've been on the pill for 10 years and I probably just assumed that something like this wouldn't happen to me.

The result come up within the test time, it seemed to come up almost immediately.

Sorry to the rambling, just so confused at the moment, and not really sure how I'm feeling :)

I think in the instructions it may say even the faintest line... Is a line Smile

put a picture up. I put a picture of my faint line and the ladies here helped put my mind at rest. I am now 17 weeks into the pregnancy. Good luck.
