Just that really...I'm so ready now (or as ready as I'll ever be)and getting more and more paranoid about the birth. Just really wish it would happen now but haven't even had a false alarm. I'm 40 +6 and going for a sweep on Tuesday so hope that will get things going...Anyone else feeling as frustrated? Am running out of things to do-house is spotless of course but there's only so much I can do now...Just back from a long walk but no twinges/show or waters! Grrrrrrrrr. It's my first baby so not expecting anything to happen very fast but really didn't anticipate it being this slow either. Willing something to happen soon!

40+6 too. Declined a sweep yesterday and been told I won't get one now. I'm not suffering physically but for poor dh I'm not much fun to be around either. We're off out for a walk not that it will make a blind bit of difference

Just think, you're not overdue for another 8 days yet Wink

You're still in the normal realms of pregnancy yet. Baby will come when it's ready. Relish the boredom, who knows when you'll have the time or energy to be this fed up again!

I know you're right Flisspaps. In fact my elderly neighbour was trying to make me feel better (I think) by saying that her niece was overdue by 5 weeks years ago??To be honest, as long as baby is ok then I don't really mind-it's just with too much time to think-I'm getting worried that something might go wrong. Annoying how the brain works sometimes! Hope it's not too long for any of us :)

russetbella1000 I'm 34+3, and fully envisage another 8 weeks before DC2 appears. DD was finally evicted at 40+16 so I don't have anything else to compare it to Grin

I don't want to bum you out but technically full-term is anywhere between 37-42 weeks so you are not overdue, and only 5% of babies are born on their edd. Why don't you plan to do something really nice for yourself and make the most of these last few days/weeks. I know it's hard but your baby will come when he/she is ready and not when a machine says so. Pretty soon you'll have your gorgeous baby! :-)
