Or am I going to be the only hairy-legged lady on the labour ward? Blush

I've barely been able to reach them since my SPD flared up in the week 24 (week 35 now), and just sort of flap a soapy washcloth around to wash. I can't imagine trying to shave.

I thought to wonder as my MIL recently told me DH's birth story, which involved her running to the shower to shave her legs while her husband stood at the door ready to head to the hospital...

I'm not doing it regularly - when I cut myself I bleed spectacularly for about 20 minutes, yet another brilliant pregnancy side effect.

Thanks! Everyone's replies is making me feel a lot better :) I hadn't really thought too much about it until MIL's story, and then went, wait, is everybody going to be doing that?

Seems like the reason to do so is only if it makes you feel better, and since I don't care so much, I won't worry about it.

I'm 34 weeks & seemed to have stopped growing leg hair in pregnancy. I've only done them twice in 8 months. Waxed 6 weeks ago & still have no regrowth at all!

I'm kidding myself my bikini line is the same - makes me feel like I can still go swimming with dignity Smile

I havent needed to shave my legs since I got pregnant! Or have my eyebrows done. Or visit the hairdressers! Ive prob shaved my armpits/fanjo about three times since I found out - it just hasnt grown!

Slightly worried that once baby is here it will grow at rapid speed and combined with only having time for the newborn, DP may wake up one morning to a yeti! :D

I'm still shaving everything at 24 weeks and I have a huge bump. I just can't face being hairy. Of course it takes me many different stretches in all kinds of uncomfortable positions to do it (a bit like a whole military operation!) but I'm still doing it.

Meant to add that sometimes if I really can't be bothered I use a body scrub instead and it makes my skin feel like i've shaved.

I don't remember this can't remember much but according to DH whilst actually pushing DD out, all I seemed concerned with was the poor consultant being up close and personal with my rather long toe nails Blush. DH had been shaving my legs and bits for me but I drew the line at my toe nails despite him offering to cut them for me. should've let him, they were very long! BlushBlushBlush

This thread has made me laugh- I am now 40+4 and started to get paranoid about going into labour hairy a couple of weeks ago! Did manage to do legs and lady garden this week, how I didn't cause myself an injury I don't know, but I shall probably be attempting it again before I go in for induction on Tuesday!
