Hi. I am eight weeks and five days pregnant with number two and would love to have a 4D scan. Has anyone had one or the 3D version? Are they worth the money? Can anyone recommend where to have one done in the south east of england?

Thanks

I found it amazing, and very useful. I was having a horrible pregnancy but seeing the baby so clearly really helped me bond with it and feel a lot better about what was happening to my body.

I must say though, we were very lucky to get such a good picture/video. I know some people have paid a lot of money and been rather disappointed as the baby was in a bad position.

Maybe try the back of some baby mags for adverts for places that do it? We went to the Portland in London, which was very good.

I had one but in the northwest. It was brilliant and well worth £190. I had the 3d & 4d one...One is the photos and the other is the moving image on dvd.
I would recommend having it at around 28-32 weeks as babe is the right size..thats what we were advised. Had it at 28 weeks and the image of dd was amazing..how many times did we watch it until her birth.................

There is one in Maidstone now so that could be close to you. I think it's called BabyBond or something like that. When I had mine done, I had to go to Nottingham!!! 5 hrs drive there and 5 hrs back at 32 weeks is no picnic!!! We went there as a friend of a friend has a clinic and offered to do it for us for £50 - at the time when they charged £250 - I was willing to travel another 5 hrs for that price It was great btw - brilliant experience.
BUT - and that's a BIG BUT - as we already knew the sex, having a 4D scan kind of spoilt the birth - dd came out looking EXACTLY as on the scan. Didn't leave anything to imagination.

You can get 3d/4d scans done here \link{http://www.thebirthcompany.co.uk/Birth Company}
They are based in London.

try again Birth Company

I agree mrswood about the looking exactly the same once born. DD looked exactly the same as the scan..lol she even held her fist under her chin as in the scan..Quite cute though.

Still think it was worth it.

We went here

Thanks for all your imput. I think I will go with the Babybond company in Maidstone as it is near us and looks good on the website. Just have to wait now for 22 weeks!
