Feeling very anxious this time round. Not just about the baby, in fact not really about the baby at all, but more about how things will be so different with a second DC.

Worrying about whether I'll cope, how DD will be, if this baby will be 'easy' or not.

And when I am not worrying about those things, worrying about things like putting curtains up in the spare room, having a stairgate at the top of the stairs, whether the smoke alarms are working.... Etc etc.

I couldn't sleep at all last night. Tired and emotional today.

Is this just another pregnancy symptom/side effect? Or am I losing it?

I don't know if it's pregnancy related, but it seems totally normal! It takes a very optimistic person not to have any concerns about a whole new state of affairs! I'm only expecting my first, so not in quite the same position, but it's the 'to do' list which is getting me down. We have a massive list of boring and semi-difficiult things to sort out, exactly along the same lines as yours, and those are what I'm fretting about. I feel like there's not much I can do about the baby right now, so it's not bothering me, but things like needing a new shed, sorting out some of our finances, finishing the curtains... all of that makes me go arrgh. None of them are individually difficult, so I'm trying to address it by prioritising them sensibly (e.g. getting a new washing machine is more important than painting the loft hatch). I don't think you're losing it! I do think taking some small steps can make you feel much better.

Normal. It's another step into the unknown Smile
