Hiya, I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I have a four and a half year old daughter who was born naturally but the wrong way up - the pain in my back was excuciating as I was in back labour for 37 hours. My back has been hurting on and off with this pregnancy as I expected it might, my coccyx has been painful and have been feeling like my back would give way. Now my coccyx still hurts, but I have shooting pains through the front left-hand side of my pelvis and down the front of my leg and also in my buttock. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Hi,

I can sympathise jenrose29 I have been suffering with similar since 25 weeks (now 30weeks and 4 days) I would say go and see the GP/MW as it could be a couple of thing PGP, Sciatica or things relaxing as they do (apparently) for birth. Ask for a Phsysio referral whilst they can't prescribe anything stronger than Paracetamol but they can give you exercises to help.

In the meantime rest when you can and warm baths work wonders.

xx
