Using pram carrycot instead of moses basket!

Have a query. I'm using my Oyster pram carrycot instead of a moses basket for my baby to sleep in for the first few months. It is is safe to use with a suitable matress for overnight sleeping, but its just occurred to me what do I stand it on at night? I can use the pram frame during the day but don't want to have to take the frame upstairs at nighttime. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Will it fit on a moses basket stand? if so you can buy those separately.

I didn't use a mattress in my pram carrycot as it was fairly padded anyway. I didn't bother putting it on a stand just put in on the floor next to my side of the bed.

We've got a little coffee table which our moses basket can sit on just to lift it up off the floor (not sure how well I'm going to like bending down for the first few days!) so will see how that goes... fortunately it's large enough that there's little chance of it overbalancing etc

I used pram carrycot instead of moses basket for first baby. IMO pram matresses are no different to moses basket matresses. We borrowed moses basket from friend and DD hated it but loved sleeping in pram. Weird! Can only think that pram was more cosy/darker. Am having second baby and planning on just using pram rather than buying/borrowing moses basket.

I would pop it on the floor if I were you. Not sure if thats helpful though-sorry.
