Muscle spasms across my belly 20 wks

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have had a few what I think are muscle spasms across my belly. I had one a few weeks ago and have had two tonight when I moved from lazing on the sofa. It's a short sharp pain on/across my belly not in it & baby is moving fine.

Any thoughts?

I've had a few BH but it's more like a sudden muscle spasm.

Just looked in my big book and think it is "round ligament pain". At least it has a name.

I have had this, it bloody hurts, especially when you move. Yep, round ligament pain, another joy of pregnancy . I should probably say I'm 20 weeks too.

Thanks McPhee. More I've read about it I'm 100% sure it's that. It hurts doesn't it! I feel much better knowing it is normal.

I recommend a nice deep bath, it really relaxes the pain. And if it gets a bit much you can take a paracetamol, it won't harm baby
