I'm 31 week and last night I was helping DH in the kitchen. I wasn't doing much but was standing for quite a few minutes. Very suddenly I became short of breath and dizzy. I was on the verge of blacking out but as soon as I sat down I felt fine. The bump has definitely had a growth spurt in the last day or so and I am massive. Is this normal and my body's way of telling me to rest or should I be concerned?

That is quite common and if just a one off don't worry but happening often then get checked out for bp, iron and urine. Whens your next mw appointment?

Yes I would say to eat well, try not to do too much and rest when you can. X

Louisa it just could be your body's way of telling you to take it easy. Have you got any other symptoms like disturbed vision?

It may be worth talking to your MW and getting her to check your blood pressure Smile.

Not had any other problems. Got my next MW appointment tomorrow and all my tests and blood pressure have been normal up till now so I'm hoping it's just a one off.

I'd just mention it tomorrow then Louisa. If it happens again before then, give her a call.
