fuckit really panicky. fell asleep on sofa and woke up at 130 needing a wee, had pink on tissue on wiping, had this over a week ago too but has been okay for about 10 days, now am freaking out that it's all going to go wrong... And it's 320 in the morning! last time called hosi and they said probably nothing, so know they will say same now. have been 3 times since and is now clear when wipe. ohhhhh what is it? anyone awake? Xxx baby is kicking away...

If your baby is still kicking away, I think you're probably both ok.

But I am not a medical practitioner. Do you have an out-of-hours service, or can you call NHS24/local variant to check?

surfmama · 22/02/2012 03:31

hi oldlady i can call labour ward but they will tell me to keep an eye on it, so i will call mw at 9, just can't get to sleep! nothing since so that's good. worry worry worry... That's me. thanks for being there.

Have you got a MAU you could call for advice?

I'm sure as long as baby is kicking everything is ok.

Don't worry about ringing someone, I was forever in the assessment unit because I couldn't feel Dd. They scanned me and the sonographer could see her moving. Trouble was I couldn't at times even when I was a heffer Smile

surfmama · 22/02/2012 03:39

morning sausage rolls thanks for cuppa and hand holding. yes i can call but they will say same as last time, and its not continued.. So going to wait till 9 and call mw. Just panicky as, well you know, just panicky!

I'm so sorry you're feeling panicky, though I totally understand it. Sorry not to be more help. :(

Throughgrittedteeth · 22/02/2012 03:53

Morning, is it possible that it's a urine infection? I had one around the same time as you that I completely didn't realise about that made me bleed. Obviously panicked but booked in with the docs the next day and after some antiB all was well.

surfmama · 22/02/2012 03:57

hi teeth... well i dont think it was pink from wee more pink from vag, but yes i think i will ask mw to test. thanks and it really helps people being there, will sleep well tomorrow!

hi surfmama
hope you are feeling bit calmer now. I'm medically trained and yes it could be a urine infection or just some loss from the vagina that isn't detrimental to the baby or ongoing pregnancy. and just as the others have said as long as baby is kicking and you've no pain then thats all good.
the midwife can very easily dip your wee to test for infection. NHS direct could give you advice if you really need to talk to someone officially, but they do tend to be very cautious with some things and in my experience can scare people very unnecessarily (? spelling - am rubbish without spell check!)
enjoying sharing a Brew with you

So glad Eliza is available to help. Sorry, surfmama, I have to go sleep. Hope all goes well with you.

LinzerTorte · 22/02/2012 04:48

Hi surfmama, I had exactly the same thing happen when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and it was fine. I spent all day in hospital waiting to be scanned, but they didn't find anything so said there was nothing to worry about. My gynaecologist told me afterwards that it's actually not all that unusual - she did tell me what it was, but I can't remember now (it was seven years ago).

Throughgrittedteeth · 22/02/2012 10:37

Surfmama did you get to the docs? Any news? Hope you're ok Smile

surfmama · 22/02/2012 11:39

morning and god you all helped me so much last night - was going banannas - yes I called mw this morning as had a bit of brown, still have a bit, anyway she said not in anyway worried, it is normal for some people and something that looks like it's going to happen to me throughout. so at least i am assured. it just felt like the next stage was going to be bright red blood, or that's what my head did to me anyway, although I am sure even the baby was kicking me to tell me to relax! am going to tuck myself up all day today and try and do some relaxing and deep breathing, hope you all got some sleep and thank you thank you thank you
